But he's got a few changes on him, beyond the change of clothes: he's got a fancier pair of goggles on his head today, and his gloves have more metal over them, a different pair from his usual.
Once or whenever John Reese notices them. But first comes the other pleasantries, such as when Gorgug does come in the door, spotting the man there. ]

[ Just gotta clean his shoes, and he'll come wander on over...!! ]
[ It's nice to have someone be punctual, he doesn't expect it of kids. John looks up from his book when Gorgug opens the door and thinks even from a distance that the goggles and gloves are different, though he can't quite see how much from this distance.
He holds his book up, though he doesn't expect Gorgug to be able to read it, so he says aloud, ]

[ He wasn't kidding about liking materials science. And it's a sizable book, it'll take time to get through and he started from the beginning, so he's not that far in. ]
