the MAXIMUM

ABOUT

The MAXIMUM is a dance and music studio that also functions as an entertainment lounge, for whenever people would like to put on shows or just gather together, for one reason or another. It sits closer to Corrine's Café than it does the apartments, with access to an outside garden shaded by a pergola to allow for outdoor entertainment that's close to the river. The exterior is shaped mostly like a large pirate's ship's hull, with double doors allowing entry with the studio's name above them that reads: the MAXIMUM.

Inside the lobby is a plaque, with the following written:

The Maximum is inspired by a Legend
It's about figuring out who you are,
What you want to be, and making community
Even when it starts with unlikely allies
You can change, find out new things about yourself
Life can suck for a Maximum, but
A Maximum keeps going
Sometimes, all a Maximum needs is a song or dance
Or good people to share their struggles with

For an overall mood of the different rooms, aesthetics, etc, please look here! There's a lot of black, red, and gold colouring. There's some pirate/ship aesthetics, but leaning on wood panelling, ropes, and lighting being lanterns in the lounges, etc.

FIRST FLOOR

The entrance leads into a lobby with three directions: left, right, and forward. To the left is the lounge bar and kitchen. The lounge is covered in plush seating and has access to a stage for people to play live music, to share announcements, or whatever else might be used for it. There's a bar, as well as doors that lead into a kitchen.

On the right side of the first floor is the dancing rooms. Large mirrors allow people to examine their progress, and music can be played to follow along to from various worlds in the multiverse. There are showers for those who work up a sweat, and also a unisex changing room.

Going forward will lead to a lift and stairs to the upper floor, but also doors going out to courtyard of the Maximum. There's a large veranda that extends out, with seating for people to use, and as well as another stage for outside performances. The river can be seen nearby for those who might want to take a walk beside it.

SECOND FLOOR

The second floor leads to the music studios. This is where practise rooms for music and singing can take place, and there's access to common musical instruments from across the multiverse available here! There are also mixing booths, and up here is where the music available across the building is stored that plays from the various speakers. There are also karaoke booths for singing with friends, as well as where people can chat with each other...privately.

The roof can be accessed, which returns the building to its pirate ship aesthetics. Multicoloured lights decorate it at night.
